Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Maddog's Trading Cards and Collectables (ABN 15 587 632 413), a sole trader (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the website maddogcollectables.com.au and its free trading-card tools. We follow the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
The short version
The site is a set of free tools for AFL trading-card collectors. It does not require an account, and anything you create in the tools is saved only in your own browser on your device — not sent to us. We use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool for aggregate visitor counts. That's essentially it.
Information we collect
Tool data stays on your device. When you tick off cards, track a collection or build a sheet, that data is stored in your browser (via local storage) on the device you're using. It is not transmitted to us and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data or switching devices will remove it.
No account is needed to use the current free tools, so we don't ask you for your name, email or other personal details to use them.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service. It is cookieless, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across other websites. It gives us only aggregate, non-identifying information such as page views, referring sites, general country and device type, which helps us understand what's useful and improve the site.
Hosting and images
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and images are served from Cloudflare R2. As part of delivering and protecting any website, Cloudflare processes standard technical request data (such as your IP address and browser type). This is handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Links to other services
We link out to our eBay store and Whatnot profile where the actual buying and selling happens. Those platforms have their own privacy policies that apply once you leave our site.
Cookies
The website itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics is cookieless.
What's coming
We're building optional accounts (so you can sync your collection across devices) and a paid subscription tier. When those launch we'll use a sign-in provider (Supabase) and a payment processor (Stripe), and we'll update this policy to describe the personal data involved — for example your email address and subscription status. Payment-card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never stored by us.
Your rights
Under Australian privacy law you can ask what personal information we hold about you and request that it be corrected or deleted. Because the current site holds essentially no personal information about you, there is usually nothing for us to return — but you're welcome to contact us with any request or question.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows (especially when accounts and payments arrive). The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
