Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the website maddogcollectables.com.au and its tools, operated by Maddog's Trading Cards and Collectables (ABN 15 587 632 413), a sole trader. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What this site is

The site provides free online tools for AFL trading-card collectors — including card checklists, a collection tracker and related utilities — plus links to where we sell. The tools are provided for your personal, non-commercial use and on an “as is” basis.

Accuracy of card data

Card checklists, catalogue details and any figures shown are provided for general information and may contain errors or be incomplete. Nothing on the site is a valuation, an offer, or a guarantee of a card's value, rarity or condition. Always do your own checks before buying or selling.

Data you create in the tools

Data you enter into the tools is stored in your browser on your own device (see our Privacy Policy). It is not backed up by us. Clearing your browser, using private/incognito mode, or switching devices can permanently remove it. We're not responsible for loss of this local data. (Optional cloud sync via an account is planned for the future.)

Acceptable use

Please don't attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site; don't scrape or bulk-copy the data or designs; and don't reuse our content or the compiled tools for a competing commercial product. Normal personal use is welcome.

Intellectual property

The Maddog's brand, logos, page designs and the tools themselves are our property. AFL and club names, logos and player images are the property of their respective owners. We are an independent collector and seller and are not affiliated with, authorised or endorsed by the AFL, any club, or any trading-card manufacturer.

Buying and selling

This website is not a shop. Actual card sales happen on our eBay store and Whatnot streams, under those platforms' terms and conditions and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Any order, payment, postage and returns are governed by the platform you purchased through.

Paid subscription (coming)

A paid “Pro” tier is planned. When it launches, separate subscription terms and pricing will apply and will be shown to you before you subscribe.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the free tools or reliance on the information they show. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
